Guitars by the Sea 2 in 2023 was led by tutors Chris Stell, Stephen Gordon & Jon Rattenbury.
It was attended by guitarists from around the UK who played a wide range of music for ensemble and guitar orchestra.

We also heard Paul Gregory performing on a range of guitars, and discussing differences between factory, artisan and luthier made instruments. Luthier Stephen Eden gave a fascinating presentation on guitar-making and creating great classical guitar tone.
We also had a session dealing with that perennial topic: performance nerves. This included aspects of psychological research, anecdotes about performance experiences and even a guitar memory game!

Young artist Emmanuel Sowicz gave a fantastic classical guitar recital featuring Bach, Albeniz, Lauro and more.
